In 1995, FIRA Robot World
Cup was developed by Prof. Jong- Hwan Kim
of KAIST(Korea Advanced Institute of Science
and Technology) aiming for fostering technology
mind worldwide.
FIRA Robot World Cup
is being held through preliminary tournaments
in four continents and the 7th World
Competition was held successfully in
Korea, 2002 one week before the 2002
FIFA World Cup TM.
Now FIRA Cup is recognized as a world
competition being participated
by young talented students form the countries
investing robot technologies.
Robot
Olympiad is an event for a science,
technology and education aimed for offering
our promising youngsters an opportunity
to expand their horizons by designing
and building robot models and experiencing
robot world.
FIRA Robot World
cup has limited participants to university
students, however, the ‘Robot Olympiad’ is
wide open for science prodigies from all grades
of schools, elementary, middle, and high.
