Robot Racing
FIELD RULES
The width of racetrack is 50 cm and the Length is 250cm excluding start/finish and turning zone.
The turning post is around 6cm in diameter(diameter of regular soda can), 10cm high and placed in the middle of black turning line.
Playing field is designed to play two robots at the same time and has under 10cm high walls in the middle and around.
The color of board is white. Start/finish and turning zones are marked with under 5 cm wide black lines
Start zone which is also finish zone and turning zone are 50cm in length. (The width is 50cm)
 
ROBOT RULES
Every team in Elementary (Primary) and Middle (Secondary) school will be provided with one LEGO Dacta Team Challenge Set, teams may not bring anything at all to the games.
Approval of committee is needed when other building parts are needed.
Committee will offer additional necessary parts.
Every team in elementary and middle school group should build their robot using LEGO Dacta Robolab software.
The number of motors used for each robot is limited to two.
The robot should small enough to fit in the start zone.
Every robot should use only light sensor.
GAME RULES
** For 2002 Games, the Starting Line will be SHIFTED by the judges before the 1 hour preparation, AND maybe during the start of the competition. Thus, use of light sensor is highly recommended! ***
Racing time is measured from the time the robot starts from the start zone till its front part of body gets in the finish line.
The robot will be disqualified if it totally leaves the black line.
The robot will be disqualified if it interrupts another robot during the course of competition.
Robot Line Tracing
FIELD RULES
The dimension and shape of playing field is 200 cm (L) * 160 cm (w).
The Route is in black color, the floor will be white and the width will be 2.5 cm
THE STARTING POINT OF THE LINE WILL BE DETERMINED BY IROC ON THE DAY OF COMPETITION, IT IS NOT NECESSARY FROM THE CIRCLE, IT CAN BE ANYWHERE ALONG THE LINE.
ROBOT RULES
  All Rules under Robot Racing applies with the exception:
The number of motors and light sensors is limited to maximum 2 each.
The maximum size of the robot is 18cm (length) x 15cm (width)

Legged Robot Racing
FIELD RULES
The distance of robot race is over 200cm long and 50cm wide.
Playing field is designed to play two robots at the same time and has 10cm high walls in the middle and around.
The color of board is white and start zones are marked under 2.5 cm black lines.
There are several turning lines at regular intervals of 30cm long in the field
 
ROBOT RULES
Every team in Elementary (Primary) and Middle (Secondary) school will be provided with one LEGO Dacta Team Challenge Set, teams may not bring anything at all to the games

Committee will offer additional necessary parts.
Every team in elementary and middle school group should build their robot using LEGO Dacta Robolab software.
The robot should walk with leg, not wheels. No rotational motion is allowed, no rotational parts should come in contact with the ground at any time of the race.
The size of robot is limited to 30cm ¡Á50cm
Light sensor and touch sensor are available and the number of sensors used are limited to maximum of 2 in all.

Racing time is measured from the time the robot starts from the start zone and turns the turning line to its front part of body gets in the start line.
There are several turning lines in the field and robot should turn designated turning line
Designated turning line will be released at the day of competition, it maybe different for the 1 hour practice and the competition.
Robot cannot go over the start line when it starts.
The whole robot has to walk past the designated turning line completely before it can make a turn and return.

When the robot encounter the crossing at the T-course area, it has to turn left and move towards the top of the "T" and then move backward to the crossing and continue the course until reaching the finish line.
